This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Provide engineering services for the design and construction of various projects.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities across projects utilizing Team Gantt.
• Ensure technical excellence, timely delivery, completion of QA/QC, and adherence to submission guidelines.
• Collaborate on design components with other disciplines and departments.
• Engage with new clients to support business development initiatives.
• Interface with clients to address project needs and requirements.
• Review shop drawing submissions to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
• Conduct site investigations and perform site analysis surveys.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and resolve issues using engineering principles.
• Mentor new designers, junior engineers, and subordinate staff.
• Maintain project documentation through Newforma Konekt.
• Conduct peer reviews and editing for projects.
• Stay updated on codes, standards, and local regulations.
• Contribute to the development of company-wide standards and processes.
• Manage department workload prioritization and staffing for multiple projects.
• Design and implement systems that meet client standards.
• Provide life safety analysis and review design submissions.
• Oversee Staff Engineers, Engineers, and Designers, with 1–3 direct reports and 1–4 indirect reports.
• Guide projects from contract and proposals to final outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; specifically in electrical engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited institution.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License.
• Current/Active NCEES registration in good standing.
• A minimum of 10 years of engineering and project management experience in an MEP Engineering Firm or an AE Firm, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Skilled in Revit, AutoCAD, SKM Power Tools, and Visual (or AGI32); proficiency in Creo Parametric is an advantage.
• Expertise in Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm, Communications, and Electronic Security systems.
• Proficiency in one-line distribution diagramming, signal degradation, short-circuit analysis, and energy consumption.
• Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, presentation, and advanced communication skills.
• Familiarity with 3D imaging cameras and engineering concepts.
• Strong project management, strategic planning, problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, time management, and scheduling abilities.
• Capability to work both independently and in collaboration with others.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident of the U.S.
• LEED BD+C Certification, healthcare engineering experience, PMP license, and OSHA Training are preferred or considered a plus.
