This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, assess, and authorize electrical engineering drawings, plans, and specifications in alignment with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Achieve proficiency in the organization's DCLM processes, technologies, and engineering standards.
• Assist in the electrical design and load management for data centers, including strategic load planning tailored to customer demands and site-specific criteria.
• Oversee multiple projects with relatively quick turnaround requirements.
• Spot opportunities to automate repetitive engineering and load-planning tasks through CAD/BIM integration, AI technologies, custom software, and advanced Excel worksheets and macros.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, commissioning, project, and technology teams to develop site-specific load management solutions.
• Enhance and standardize engineering processes as data center programs expand.
• Offer technical expertise and professional engineering oversight.
• Facilitate customer-facing meetings to discuss projects and technical specifications.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional electrical engineering design experience within the construction sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering, enabling the sealing of relevant electrical engineering documents.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, electrical distribution systems, and design documentation.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, calculations, datasets, and engineering models.
• Experience with data center design and/or mission-critical electrical environments is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to engineering quality and precision.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for technology, process enhancement, and engineering innovation.
• Capability to think strategically and adapt to meet long-term goals.
• Self-driven and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, and BlueBeam.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Employment may depend on successful background checks, drug testing, and other pre-employment criteria.
• Preferred: experience in data center load management, load planning, capacity planning, or related electrical load-management processes.
• Preferred: experience with customer-specific and site-specific electrical requirements.
• Preferred: experience with Excel VBA, macros, Power Query, Office Scripts, or other Excel automation tools.
• Preferred: familiarity with programming or scripting languages.
• Preferred: experience using automation, AI, or emerging technologies to enhance engineering workflows.
• Preferred: prior experience sealing electrical plans and specifications in a high-volume project setting.
• Preferred: experience working in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or similarly intricate electrical environments.
