Student Success Coach – College Admissions Coach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to students and families regarding academic planning, extracurricular development, testing strategies, and application timelines.

• Hold regular meetings and ensure ongoing communication with students and their families.

• Assist students in crafting competitive long-term profiles that align with their academic interests, intended majors, and target universities.

• Counsel students on how to present their stories, accomplishments, activities, and essays within the UC application system and Common App.

• Act as a trusted advisor for families throughout the admissions process.

• Track student progress and identify any gaps or missed milestones.

• Strategically intervene to help keep students on course.

• Collaborate with Essay Editing, Client Success, and internal leadership teams.

• Function as the main point of contact for a caseload of students and families.

• Emphasize high-level coaching and admissions strategy over logistical or administrative tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in college admissions coaching, counseling, or mentoring is required.

• Prior experience as an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) is highly preferred.

• Proven ability to independently manage the entire college admissions counseling process from beginning to end.

• Experience in academic planning, extracurricular activity planning, major and college selection, application strategy, and college application advising.

• In-depth knowledge of UC and CSU admissions systems, including PIQs and admissions positioning.

• Strong understanding of the admissions strategies for Top 100 U.S. universities.

• Capacity to manage multiple students and families while ensuring high-quality communication and strategic oversight.

• Proficient in leading Zoom meetings, providing feedback, recording video feedback, and establishing trust with students and parents.

• Comfortable using Zoom, Google Drive, Slack, Calendly, Loom, and contemporary AI-powered systems and tools.

• Submission of a resume, application questionnaire responses, and a brief video introduction is required for application.
