This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Engage in impactful Young Life ministry through training and hands-on field ministry experience.
• Create an annual personal growth plan focusing on spiritual disciplines, prayer, reflection, and comprehension of God’s Word.
• Take part in a church community and contribute to the spiritual life within the Young Life community.
• Guide teams and individuals in their spiritual development.
• Regularly meet with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
• Recruit and train new leaders while building a robust leadership team.
• Exemplify excellence in contact work, club activities, Campaigners, and camping.
• Attend and engage in assigned area leadership activities.
• Secure financial support and uphold donor care practices.
• Provide ministry updates to personal donor partners.
• Assist with fundraising for camps and participate in occasional committee and adult events.
• Participate in all three levels of contact work.
• Take a leadership role in Young Life club and Campaigners/discipleship ministry.
• Aid in implementing strategies for summer and school-season camping.
• Potentially serve on summer staff or in designated roles at a Young Life property.
• Adhere to Young Life policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Set and evaluate yearly ministry and personal objectives.
• Assist with administrative tasks when assigned.
• Submit expense reports clearly and in a timely manner.
• Carry out additional duties assigned based on skills, experience, and area needs.
• Complete assigned tasks under the supervision of the area director or mentor.
• Receive tailored training in spiritual growth, character development, and ministry skills.
• Familiarize yourself with area strategies and ministry health.
• Learn principles of personal fundraising and engage in Young Life discipleship experiences.
• All Young Life employees must sign a Statement of Faith.
• Must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord.
• Must agree to the Young Life statements and policies required of staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith.
• Must be prepared and willing to fulfill ministry responsibilities as necessary.
• Must avoid actions and statements that undermine Young Life’s biblical standards.
• Must comply with all Young Life policies and practices, including those related to religious beliefs or ministry activities.
• Currently pursuing a college degree.
• Demonstrated relational abilities with both children and adults.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must reside in Stark County, Ohio.
• Fully remote work arrangement
