Student Extern – Internal Medicine Clerkship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Deliver supervised clinical exposure in internal medicine as an integral part of a structured educational program

• Operate with minimal supervision while adhering to established departmental protocols

• Exhibit professionalism and a dedication to high-quality care

• Successfully complete the Internal Medicine Clerkship rotation at CenterWell State Ave

• Engage fully during the rotation period and attend all scheduled course hours

• Finalize onboarding documentation and forms for Conviva and university records

• Participate in occasional training sessions or meetings at Humana if necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• Selected for the Internal Medicine Clerkship at Kansas City University School of Osteopathic Medicine, assigned to CenterWell State Ave, 7527 State Ave, Kansas City, KS 66112

• Must be eligible to work in the United States; a Social Security Number is required as part of the application process

• Provide written confirmation that the applicant does not have a felony record

• Must be available for the entire rotation period from November 9–November 22, 2026

• Availability required Monday–Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST

• Complete all onboarding prerequisites, including necessary documentation and forms for Conviva and university records

• Show a demonstrated passion for improving patient and consumer healthcare experiences

• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred

• Active participation in campus activities and/or community service is preferred

• An expressed interest in pursuing a healthcare career is preferred

• Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload required for home or hybrid home/office work

• Ability to work from a designated area without ongoing interruptions to safeguard PHI/HIPAA information

• Must adhere to established departmental protocols while demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to quality care
