Head of Life and Annuities Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Define and spearhead the technology strategy for Protection Solutions and Financial Assets.

• Achieve quantifiable reductions in cost per policy/participant while ensuring alignment with enterprise business objectives.

• Collaborate with business leaders within the life and annuities sector to develop future-state capabilities.

• Provide technology solutions that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and scalability.

• Manage a large, multi-tiered technology organization.

• Modernize platforms, enhance system stability, and promote cloud, data, and AI initiatives.

• Propel cloud transformation, data integration, and AI-enabled functionalities.

• Improve performance and reliability of systems migrated to the cloud.

• Broaden standardized architecture and technology practices across interconnected systems.

• Oversee vendor relations and managed services.

• Advance insourcing strategies and bolster internal engineering capabilities.

• Assess technology platforms and tools for compatibility, integration, and alignment with business and customer requirements.

• Supervise demand, capacity, and financial management processes.

• Ensure prioritization, resource allocation, and delivery align with strategic objectives.

• Monitor and enhance operational and channel performance metrics.

• Implement strategic programs that improve service delivery, cost efficiency, and business outcomes.

• Articulate complex technology strategies and their business impacts through clear, data-driven insights to senior leaders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or a related field.

• 15 years of pertinent work experience, preferably on a global scale.

• Proven success in leading large, distributed technology organizations and influencing senior executive stakeholders.

• Experience managing large-scale cloud and platform modernization projects.

• Strong understanding of business principles, organizational design, and change management.

• Experience managing large budgets.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for immigration sponsorship or an employer of record for immigration employment purposes.

• Preferred: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Preferred: Extensive expertise in life insurance and annuities platforms, including policy administration and servicing systems.

• Preferred: Experience in implementing AI-enabled capabilities.

• Preferred: Demonstrated experience operating in complex, regulated environments with a strong understanding of risk, compliance, and security considerations.
