This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Conduct comprehensive material and quantity takeoffs for structural metal fabrication projects.
• Develop estimates, bids, and pricing proposals.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine scope and potential cost implications.
• Prepare submittals, revisions, and responses to RFIs.
• Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, clients, and team members internally.
• Engage with clients and vendors via phone as needed.
• Assist in pre-construction activities and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Manage multiple estimates and project deadlines concurrently.
• Utilize the company's internal job tracking and AI-driven quoting system.
• Work remotely with Mark VeRost and the senior estimator to review estimates and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Identify gaps in scope, discrepancies, and risks in estimating prior to bid submission.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in structural fabrication estimating.
• Extensive experience in takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost estimation.
• Background in structural steel, custom metal fabrication, or similar heavy fabrication fields.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a proven track record of estimate accuracy.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Capability to work independently while engaging with a remote team.
• Comfortable learning and navigating various software platforms and internal systems.
• Ability to commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
• Capacity to work remotely and reliably access client software and internal systems.
• Willingness to operate under a month-to-month employment structure.
• Flexible working hours, with a preference for overlap during 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET.
