This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.
• Create accurate estimates for commercial and residential glass projects each month using Procore and Excel, incorporating advanced formulas as necessary.
• Develop comprehensive estimates for storefronts, doors, windows, curtain walls, glass handrails, glass walls, shower doors, mirrors, and residential glass replacements, excluding auto glass.
• Take into account U.S. market pricing, material costs, and labor rate structures.
• Source, review, track, and assess project bids through platforms such as Plan Hub, Building Connected, and Procore.
• Ensure a steady job pipeline and efficient estimate production workflow.
• Engage directly within the client's systems under a full-time, exclusive contract.
• Communicate mainly through email and iMessage for site and estimate updates.
• Collaborate with site teams, vendors, manufacturers, and external project stakeholders.
• Assist the Owner/Project Manager and undertake various operational tasks as required.
• Help eliminate operational bottlenecks, allowing the owner to concentrate on project management, field execution, field supervision, client management, and business growth.
• Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in construction trades or building systems, with direct knowledge of the glazing/glass sector.
• Specialized knowledge of glass, storefronts, curtain walls, glass handrails, glass walls, shower doors, and mirrors, excluding auto glass.
• Strong skills in Excel, including advanced formulas.
• Proficient in Procore, or an ability to quickly learn the software.
• Proficient in Plan Hub and Building Connected.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfortable reaching out to vendors, clients, and team members throughout the estimating process.
• Solid understanding of U.S. market pricing, material costs, and labor rate structures.
• Proactive, organized, and able to produce multiple accurate estimates daily with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with U.S. glazing systems and manufacturers such as Oldcastle, Tubelight, and Kawneer is preferred.
• Ability to present a portfolio or demonstrate previous estimation work and high-volume project bid sheets is preferred.
• A background in civil engineering, a technical trade degree, or equivalent practical industry experience is preferred.
• Willingness to work full-time, Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM CT.
• Willingness to work within U.S. time zones.
• Must be comfortable functioning as an independent contractor.
