Structural Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Follow guidance from senior engineers to support design activities while acquiring experience and enhancing project skills.

• Examine design documents related to projects, including fabrication shop drawings, to ensure they are complete and free of errors.

• Create models of various structures using finite element analysis for design purposes.

• Analyze design codes and implement suitable design standards.

• Conduct value engineering analyses to identify cost-effective design solutions.

• May visit project sites to assess construction quality.

• Travel to various U.S. project locations for brief periods, generally one to two days per trip, several times annually.

• Walk on and evaluate structural reinforcement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or M.E.) in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering.

• 0 to 4 years of engineering experience.

• Completion of the F.E. exam and registration as an Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) is mandatory.

• Aspiration to achieve professional licensure once the necessary experience is gained.

• Previous experience in the energy sector is preferred but not essential.

• Interest in reinforced concrete is a plus.

• Enthusiasm for structural design codes such as IBC, ACI, ASCE 7, and AISC.

• Experience with AutoCAD and/or finite element analysis is advantageous.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Willingness to travel to U.S. project sites for short periods several times a year.

• Capability to walk on and inspect structural reinforcement.
