Entry-Level Forensic Civil/Structural Engineer, EI/EIT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist in examining buildings and other structures to identify failures, construction defects, and various forensic engineering issues.

• Carry out comprehensive forensic investigations into structural failures and construction defects.

• Conduct site inspections and collect pertinent data to facilitate forensic analysis.

• Apply engineering principles and practices to evaluate and address structural challenges.

• Draft clear and concise technical reports that detail findings and conclusions.

• Offer expert testimony in legal proceedings as required.

• Remain updated on industry trends, codes, and standards pertinent to structural engineering.

• Provide support for projects and teams across the Greenville, SC or Charlotte, NC regions.

• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.

• Preference for candidates with a Licensed Engineer Intern (EI or EIT) designation, or the willingness to obtain one.

• Must be able to travel (by road) multiple days each week, including local travel as well as regional air travel.

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
