This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Examine structural, architectural, and engineering drawings to comprehend project scope and requirements.
• Create precise quantity take-offs for structural concrete, reinforcement, formwork, and associated scopes.
• Formulate comprehensive cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for commercial and industrial projects.
• Spot discrepancies, missing information, and potential risks in project documentation, and raise RFIs as needed.
• Investigate and evaluate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs to produce competitive and accurate estimates.
• Utilize suitable quantities, rates, productivity assumptions, and allowances when crafting estimates.
• Aid in initial project planning, including anticipated work sequences, resource needs, and baseline timelines.
• Collaborate with internal operations and project stakeholders to ensure estimates transition smoothly into project execution.
• Keep precise estimating records and update pricing information as necessary.
• Assist with budgeting and cost planning throughout the project lifecycle.
• Engage in recruitment, client, and technical assessment interviews, including a practical task.
• Over 3 years of experience in structural concrete estimating, reinforcement estimating, quantity surveying, or a closely related construction estimating role.
• Strong capability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and engineering drawings.
• Practical experience in preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions.
• Knowledge of reinforcement, concrete quantities, construction methods, labor requirements, and project costs.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Familiarity with digital estimating/take-off tools such as Bluebeam or similar software.
• Ability to identify gaps or inconsistencies in drawings and project documentation and raise appropriate RFIs.
• Strong grasp of construction estimating principles and commercial considerations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience with Australian construction or structural concrete projects is an advantage.
• Experience with Australian reinforcement industry practices, suppliers, rates, and construction methods is a plus.
• Prior site experience in structural concrete or commercial construction is advantageous.
• Familiarity with MS Project or Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Experience in commercial or high-rise/mid-rise construction projects is a plus.
• Capability to work independently and meet deliverable milestones in a flexible, part-time schedule.
• Direct and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Must currently reside in the Philippines and be legally authorized to work there.
