This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Create designs for building envelope components, which encompass external walls, façades, roofing systems, and thermal/moisture insulation.
• Develop internal partitioning and space planning, addressing white space/gray space separation, security zoning, fire compartmentalization, corridors, and access control layouts.
• Conduct structural load assessments for raised floors, POD racking areas, and mechanical equipment situated on rooftops.
• Calculate the floor loading capacity for IT racks, including high-density liquid-cooled racks and CDU placement areas.
• Design tunnel systems and technological infrastructure pathways, incorporating cable trays and piping routes.
• Create lighting designs for white space, gray space, office environments, and exterior/security lighting.
• Collaborate with the MEP team to synchronize structural and architectural drawings.
• Evaluate architectural and structural sections of design-build packages, identifying risks, inconsistencies, and opportunities for value engineering.
• Ensure adherence to local building codes, fire safety regulations, and facility resilience standards.
• Liaise with local authorities regarding structural and architectural permitting issues.
• Assist in space planning to accommodate future scalability of data centers.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural and/or architectural design, specifically within industrial, warehouse, or critical infrastructure facilities.
• Expertise in designing load-intensive facilities, which includes raised floors, heavy stationary equipment, and conducting high-load structural calculations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit software.
• Skilled in at least one structural calculation software package: Tekla Structures, Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis, IDEA StatiCa, or Dlubal RFEM.
• Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary design alongside structural, architectural, and MEP interfaces.
• English language proficiency adequate for international project documentation.
• Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with Tier III/IV data center design standards is advantageous.
• Experience with modular/POD-based data center construction is a plus.
• Knowledge of designing for high-density liquid-cooled IT environments is a plus.
• Proficiency in Polish language is a plus.
• Experience working on greenfield/brownfield construction-phase projects is a plus.
