📋 Description

• Oversee the mechanical discipline across multiple simultaneous projects during pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases.

• Direct design teams and provide guidance to junior personnel.

• Create construction-ready design packages, including drawings and specifications, ensuring inter-discipline coordination.

• Act as the Engineer of Record.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to create HVAC systems and sustainable solutions.

• Formulate budgets, proposals, schedules, project plans, and staffing strategies.

• Seek out potential clients and project opportunities.

• Travel to project locations for engineering site assessments and data gathering.

• Work alongside clients’ team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is necessary for eligibility in federal employment.

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering.

• A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience or more in consulting engineering and facility design.

• Proven experience in producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities.

• Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States.

• Familiarity with industry standards, including ASHRAE and building codes.

• Understanding of federal agency standards such as UFC and UFGS.

• Proficiency in Revit, BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, Trane Trace, and SpecsIntact.

• Excellent communication skills for presentations, project communications, and written documentation.

• Ability to foster positive relationships with both internal and external team members.
