Strategic Technology Sourcing Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a group of technologists and supply chain experts to develop sourcing strategies for key technology differentiators and priority captures within the Defense Systems sector.

• Recognize supply base deficiencies and create solutions to address them proactively before program requirements surface.

• Formulate forecasts and sourcing strategies for essential technologies.

• Offer sourcing assistance for priority captures.

• Collaborate with Engineering and other departments to enhance producibility, cultivate supplier capabilities and capacity, and mitigate sourcing risks.

• Promote consistency in design features across product lines and foundational components.

• Manage strategic partnership agreements and their corresponding Executive Committees.

• Seek and oversee investments, including NCTA, supplier, and government funding, to advance technologies prior to program awards.

• Collaborate with Business Development, Strategy, Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Divisions, suppliers, and Industrial Base Policy organizations to influence investment and design choices that enhance speed, producibility, cost-effectiveness, and capacity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, business development, program management, and/or supply chain environments, or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience in these areas.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading teams, either directly or indirectly.

• Background in manufacturing and/or engineering processes, defense technologies, and defense programs.

• Experience in preparing proposals for government acquisitions.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

• Preferred experience with and knowledge of DS product lines and technology building blocks.

• Preferred experience collaborating with suppliers on advanced technologies.

• Preferred experience in business development and related customer engagements.

• Current and/or Active DoD Secret level security clearance preferred.

• U.S. Citizenship is required for positions that require government clearance and certain other restricted roles.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
