Senior IT Sourcing Manager – Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives for GE Vernova’s IT Professional Services and Cyber expenditures.

• Assume strategic responsibility for category spending and formulate strategies to minimize total cost of ownership.

• Oversee vendor management, demand management, governance, and compliance efforts.

• Establish global strategies, coordinate sourcing activities and policies, and implement initiatives.

• Collaborate with IT, Finance, Engineering, and Sourcing stakeholders to lower TCO and meet service level agreements.

• Manage, enhance, mentor, and motivate a team of sourcing professionals.

• Create and execute sourcing strategies for various category spending areas.

• Advocate for and secure TCO reductions in Labor Services and Professional Services.

• Lead category budgeting, identify opportunities for value creation, define sourcing projects, and supervise their execution.

• Collaborate with the Vendor Management Organization and other functions such as Engineering, Finance, and HR.

• Manage the complete sourcing process from strategy development to market analysis, RFX negotiations, supplier selection, contract creation, and buying channel management.

• Guide multifunctional stakeholder teams in strategic sourcing projects.

• Identify, document, and implement best practices.

• Partner with HQ and Segment CIOs to deliver value to GE Vernova.

• Assess internal performance within each subcategory and track benefit realization.

• Drive annual productivity enhancements and value through supplier relationship management.

• Sustain a high-performing team while optimizing and streamlining its operations.

• Ensure employee engagement is measured through Glint or equivalent surveys.

⛳️ Requirements

• For positions in the USA, a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college is required.

• A minimum of 15 years’ experience in Sourcing, including IT sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, or similar consulting experience.

• Proven capability in leading large-scale organizational, process, and cultural transformations.

• Demonstrated success in delivering complex end-to-end procurement projects.

• Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and manage difficult stakeholders effectively.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.

• An MBA or a Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering is preferred.

• Experience in IT category management/sourcing within a multinational organization is desired.

• Proven track record of driving significant improvements in sourcing or related functions is preferred.

• Strong analytical abilities, including spend analytics, should-cost analysis, and market research and intelligence are desired.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are preferred.

• Demonstrated negotiation abilities are desirable.

• Strong project management skills are preferred.

• Experience with RFQ implementation and execution is desired.

• Familiarity with ERP/SSS systems is preferred.

• Background in supply base consolidation is desirable.
