This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +8 more states.
β’ Take ownership of the complete category strategy, sourcing, and supplier management for HR Total Rewards and Payroll expenditures.
β’ Create and implement multi-year category strategies based on market intelligence, spend analysis, and stakeholder priorities.
β’ Oversee complex RFI/RFP/RFQ sourcing initiatives for benefits carriers, payroll processing/HRIS platforms, and associated services.
β’ Negotiate contracts, pricing, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with key providers.
β’ Manage supplier relationships and performance through Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), scorecards, and SLA governance.
β’ Identify and achieve cost savings, cost avoidance, and process efficiencies, while tracking and reporting on savings targets.
β’ Collaborate with HR/Total Rewards and Payroll leadership as the main procurement business partner.
β’ Evaluate and mitigate supplier risks, including financial, operational, data security/privacy, ERISA, ACA, and state payroll regulatory risks.
β’ Oversee the contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
β’ Provide mentorship or guidance to junior category managers/analysts as necessary.
β’ Actively participate in virtual meetings, including regular use of video.
β’ Work completely remotely from home, adhering to an East Coast schedule.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business, Supply Management, HR, or a related field.
β’ A minimum of 10 years of progressive procurement/category management experience, with direct involvement in sourcing HR/HCM, benefits, payroll, or related professional services categories.
β’ Proven experience in negotiating large, complex service contracts.
β’ Strong knowledge of the HR Total Rewards and Payroll vendor landscape, including Workday, Alight, and benefits carriers.
β’ Understanding of data privacy and compliance considerations specifically related to HR/payroll data.
β’ Excellent analytical skills, including spend analysis, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling, and business case development.
β’ Proficient negotiation skills in pay-for-performance and shared risk allocation in contracts.
β’ Ability to lead cross-functional business meetings, create and deliver clear presentations, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
β’ Strong business acumen with an understanding of business structures, processes, and information flow within a multi-line-of-business organization.
β’ Daily video appearance is required, frequently for meetings.
β’ A professional workspace is necessary in a work-from-home environment.
β’ Authorization to work in the United States is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
β’ CPSM, CPM, or similar procurement certification is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with HCM/HRIS/payroll systems from a sourcing/vendor selection standpoint is a plus.
β’ Prior experience in shared services or enterprise procurement is preferred.

β’ Ability to use a personal computer, relevant software, and office equipment for extended periods.
