Strategic Sourcing Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough market research to pinpoint potential suppliers and evaluate market trends.

• Formulate detailed sourcing strategies for designated categories, incorporating cost reduction goals, supplier selection criteria, and risk management plans.

• Collaborate with internal teams to comprehend business requirements and translate them into sourcing specifications.

• Oversee the design and implementation of RFI, RFQ, and RFP procedures.

• Review supplier submissions and assess proposals based on price, quality, delivery, and other pertinent factors.

• Create negotiation strategies and lead complex contract discussions with suppliers.

• Develop and oversee master agreements, encompassing legal terms and conditions.

• Establish and nurture relationships with key suppliers.

• Resolve supplier performance challenges and promote continuous improvement.

• Track supplier performance against contractual obligations and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Analyze spending data to uncover cost-saving potentials.

• Execute strategic sourcing initiatives.

• Utilize cost modeling and total cost of ownership analysis to assess sourcing alternatives.

• Communicate sourcing strategies and updates to internal stakeholders, including senior management.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve sourcing-related issues.

• Support sourcing initiatives across FinOps, End User Support, Global Technology Operations, Cloud Engineering, and Enterprise Technology categories.

• Over 7 years of advanced strategic sourcing expertise.

• Mastery of strategic procurement principles, practices, and models focused on technology.

• Profound understanding of technology sourcing principles, methodologies, and contract law.

• Demonstrated experience in negotiating SaaS and cloud-based enterprise business applications at scale within a global context.

• Capability to clearly articulate contracting options and recommend a course of action.

• Strong skills in data analysis, spend analytics, and financial modeling.

• Extensive knowledge of relevant technology and labor supplier markets, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to lead and manage complex sourcing projects from start to finish.

• Ability to oversee project timelines and ensure completion with minimal supervision.
