Strategic Sourcing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze technical Bills of Materials to establish the most effective sourcing strategies considering cost, availability, lead time, and program eligibility.

• Request, compare, and verify quotes from OEMs, distributors, and alternative channels.

• Identify substitute products or alternative SKUs when primary items face pricing, availability, or lead-time challenges.

• Assess and pursue deal registration, special pricing, rebates, promotions, and incentive programs.

• Track special pricing approvals, quote expirations, cost changes, and renewals until the final quote is completed.

• Foster relationships with distributor representatives, OEM channel teams, and strategic supplier partners.

• Negotiate supplier pricing, terms, and availability while addressing quote issues, pricing discrepancies, and registration conflicts.

• Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Sales Engineers, and sales teams during the solution design and handoff process.

• Manage and prioritize a significant number of concurrent quote requests.

• Keep accurate, organized, and audit-ready quote records in line with procurement policies and vendor agreements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in IT product quoting, procurement, distribution, or a similar channel role within the IT/technology sector.

• Strong familiarity with leading cable/connectivity and equipment OEMs as well as national distributors.

• Practical understanding of deal registration, SPA, and competitive or special pricing processes.

• Proven negotiation experience in securing advantageous pricing and terms from suppliers.

• Strong skills in relationship-building with sales teams, solutions engineering, distributors, and OEMs.

• Ability to read and interpret a technical Bill of Materials and convert it into a workable sourcing plan.

• Capability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.

• Proficiency with quoting/CRM platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow, or CPQ tools, along with Microsoft Excel.
