Strategic Procurement Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify and establish new partnerships with carriers.

• Leverage tools, technology, and existing relationships to acquire new business opportunities.

• Assist the Pricing team by providing rates for RFPs, spot quotes, and special requests.

• Make decisions regarding carrier routing.

• Negotiate contracts and utilize relationships effectively.

• Engage in cold calling activities.

• Work closely with Carrier Procurement to enhance carrier relationships.

• Develop contracts and a routing guide tailored for the carrier network to meet customer needs.

• Address and escalate issues that arise with carriers.

• Create improved processes and efficiencies in carrier selection to enhance the customer experience.

• Supervise, engage, and collaborate for daily account success.

• Cultivate partnerships with internal teams and their leaders while engaging with clients.

• Identify problems, determine actions, and implement effective solutions.

• Gain a thorough understanding of the technology platform and promote automation.

• Analyze and comprehend market trends and seasonality.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.

• Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) is preferred.

• Capability to sit continuously and use a keyboard, calculator, and telephone; occasional standing, walking, stooping, and/or kneeling.

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
