This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage relationships with Lightspeed’s essential financial services partners, including prominent card brands and payment acquirers.
• Create and implement strategies to enhance new merchant acquisition and drive conversion to Lightspeed Payments and Capital.
• Establish collaborative business plans with card brands and financial services organizations.
• Partner with Strategy, Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, and Sales teams.
• Propel partner innovation, product development, geographic expansion, co-marketing efforts, and new revenue opportunities.
• Optimize payments economics, margins, approval rates, partner efficiencies, and commercial terms.
• Lead intricate negotiations and commercial arrangements with key payment partners.
• Keep abreast of scheme regulations, regulatory changes, and market dynamics.
• Represent Lightspeed publicly and foster new strategic partner connections.
• Report directly to the Head of Payments as a high-impact contributor.
• Achieve measurable enhancements in partner alignment, margins, approval performance, product launches, merchant satisfaction, retention, and strategic value.
• Over 5 years of experience managing significant payments providers.
• More than 3 years of experience managing relationships with card brands.
• At least 5 years of experience shaping financial services strategies.
• Over 3 years of experience supporting product launches and market expansion initiatives.
• More than 5 years of knowledge in payments economics and ecosystem dynamics.
• Familiarity with payment providers such as Fiserv, Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, and Worldpay.
• Experience with card brands like Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
• Practical understanding of card network dynamics, acquiring models, economics, and the wider payments value chain.
• Proficiency in engaging with executives at a high level.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and take accountability within a matrixed organization.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical rigor, sound judgment, and meticulous attention to detail in execution.
• Confidence in presenting ideas, making recommendations, and influencing decisions.
• Determination, adaptability, and a proactive, action-oriented approach.
