This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with department heads to construct and finalize the annual budget utilizing a driver-based model linked to provider capacity, payer mix, ramp curves, and headcount.
• Maintain a rolling monthly forecast and refresh revenue, expense, and cash projections.
• Identify risks and opportunities 60 to 90 days in advance.
• Develop and uphold site-level P&Ls and provider productivity analysis.
• Take ownership of provider and PA demand models and recommend hiring triggers for CEO approval.
• Supply hiring timing, spend pacing, and collection assumptions to the Controller's 13-week cash forecast.
• Create pro formas for de novo sites and leases.
• Formulate service-line economics for PHP/IOP, TMS, and Spravato.
• Model provider-level profitability and establish provider compensation structures.
• Assess payer rate modifications, capital planning scenarios, and incentive plan designs.
• Transform executive queries into models and recommendations promptly.
• Finalize monthly variance narratives and P&L bridges for the Controller's review.
• Present the P&L bridge during the monthly operating review.
• Prepare and finalize board and lender reporting packages for the Controller's review and sign-off, presenting them in conjunction with the Controller.
• Act as the primary point of contact for department data and reporting requests.
• Conduct regular check-ins and monthly budget reviews with department heads.
• Lead site P&L reviews alongside Center Operations Managers.
• Ensure clear definitions for core financial KPIs are maintained.
• Define financial dashboard requirements for the Data & Analytics team and provide written commentary.
• Extract and organize data from AdvancedMD, Rippling, the general ledger, and Clarity's data platform.
• Monitor budget against actual and committed spending across all payment channels.
• Assist with the Sage Intacct implementation, which includes cost center design, budget loading, and budget-versus-actual reporting.
• Support the closing process with accrual inputs and flux reviews of the P&L and balance sheet prior to the Controller locking the trial balance.
• During the Senior Accountant's absence, review entries and reconciliations, approving routine payments in accordance with the documented approval process.
• Complete Clarity Clinic orientation, covering HIPAA privacy and security, compliance, and role-specific training.
• A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or transaction advisory, including a minimum of 2 to 3 years in an operational FP&A role (6 to 10 years preferred).
• Experience personally managing an annual budget from start to finish, incorporating inputs from department or site owners.
• Proven track record of sustaining a rolling forecast on a monthly basis and presenting it to an executive team.
• Experience overseeing monthly variance analysis, including articulating results to non-financial leaders.
• Familiarity with unit or site-level P&L models, ideally with ramp or maturity curves.
• Experience defining KPIs and producing a recurring reporting package.
• Demonstrated experience in building and presenting at least one board or lender package.
• Expertise in constructing an operating model rather than merely maintaining an existing one.
• Solid understanding of accrual accounting and comfort working closely with actuals.
• Advanced Excel modeling skills: driver-based models, scenario analysis, and sensitivity tables.
• Experience functioning as a business partner to operational leaders.
• Strong written communication skills with a clear perspective.
• Preferred: Background in investment banking, consulting, or transaction advisory.
• Preferred: Experience in multi-site healthcare services, behavioral health, or PE-backed healthcare.
• Preferred: Familiarity with AdvancedMD.
• Preferred: Understanding of payer mix and CPT-driven revenue.
• Preferred: Sufficient familiarity with Power BI to guide dashboard development.
• Preferred: Experience during an ERP transition.
• MBA, CFA, or CPA is optional.
• Completion of HIPAA privacy and security training during orientation and on an annual basis.
• Use of aggregated data only, ensuring patient-level data is never exported.
• Maintain the confidentiality of financial, compensation, and patient-adjacent data.
• Occasional travel to Clarity Clinic locations in the Chicago area.
• Bonus Target: 10%.
