Strategic Finance Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire finance function and establish scalable systems.

• Ensure the delivery of precise, audit-ready financials by the 20th of each month, complete with full account reconciliation and no significant errors.

• Create and manage a rolling cash forecast for 12 months, updated on a weekly basis.

• Direct the annual budgeting and forecasting process across all departments.

• Design automated systems and workflows aimed at decreasing manual reporting time by at least 25% within the first year.

• Collaborate with leadership on initiatives to enhance profitability and boost EBITDA by 2 percentage points within the first 12 months.

• Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for closing, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting processes.

• Establish expense management, travel, and purchasing systems by the sixth month.

• Generate financial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Work closely with Product, Sales, and Operations on growth, cash flow, and inventory planning.

• Assess ERP and reporting technology solutions suitable for company scalability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or CPA is highly preferred).

• Over 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including more than 3 years in a leadership role.

• Demonstrated success in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

• Experience in implementing scalable systems and automation within growing organizations.

• Strong understanding of GAAP, compliance, and tax standards.

• Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, or advanced Excel/Google Sheets.

• Exceptional analytical and communication skills; adept at simplifying complexity.

• Experience in e-commerce or multi-channel retail is preferred.
