Strategic Analyst, BD & Strategic Partnerships

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Perform market research and analyze the competitive landscape across targeted sectors, regions, and customer segments.

• Create and uphold financial models for evaluating opportunities, which encompass revenue and cost forecasting, cash flow modeling, pricing analysis, and the assessment of ROI, IRR, and NPV.

• Formulate opportunity theses and business cases for strategies involving new market entries, partnership structures, cost/revenue-sharing arrangements, and commercial initiatives.

• Generate briefing documents, market intelligence reports, and data-driven suggestions to aid leadership in decision-making.

• Monitor and evaluate pipeline metrics, win/loss trends, and deal economics to recognize patterns and enhance pursuit quality.

• Assist in due diligence efforts concerning potential partners, customers, and market opportunities.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Report directly to Axiom’s Director of BD & Strategic Partnerships.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Science, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in commercial analysis, market research, corporate development, management consulting, or investment analysis.

• Preferred experience in the aerospace and defense sector or complex B2B/B2G environments.

• Strong skills in financial modeling and decision analysis, including scenario analysis, pricing models, and sensitivity analysis.

• Capability to synthesize intricate technical and market information into succinct, clear recommendations for senior leadership.

• Proficiency with standard tools and systems for CRM, data visualization, financial modeling, and business intelligence.

• Experience in international business development, capture, proposal, partner management, or financial/technical analysis is highly desired.

• Familiarity with government, the commercial space ecosystem, New Space, LEO infrastructure, and microgravity markets is strongly desired.

• Proven track record of achieving results in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

• Strong judgment and proactive problem-solving capabilities.

• Demonstrated organizational skills to meet tight deadlines while delivering high-quality outcomes.

• A passion for space and the mission at hand.

• An entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mindset.

• High emotional intelligence and the ability to collaborate effectively within teams and across functions.

• Ability to utilize technology solutions and tools to operate more efficiently and effectively.

• Capacity to demonstrate accountability, technical rigor, execution discipline, and pride in delivery.

• May require access to export-controlled technical data or technology subject to NASA regulations, ITAR, or EAR; final candidates may undergo export-control screening.

• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as necessary to meet critical project deadlines.
