Strategic Account Manager – Renewables and Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Drive incremental and profitable sales across diverse regions with customers.

• Build and nurture relationships while identifying opportunities within both new and existing strategic accounts.

• Oversee the creation and presentation of customer proposals in collaboration with Supply Chain Services.

• Lead innovation and spearhead strategic initiatives in the Renewables and Infrastructure sectors.

• Formulate strategies aimed at achieving and surpassing revenue growth targets through market intelligence.

• Maintain strategic plans for key customers and regional projects.

• Present to customer management and effectively communicate the value proposition of Border States.

• Develop customer engagement strategies, align stakeholders, and mobilize teams effectively.

• Map out customer organizations, stakeholders, and internal advocates.

• Create multi-year revenue plans that outline goals and necessary resources.

• Support major EPC customers and opportunities in Solar, BESS, Wind, Substation, Transmission, and Emerging Markets.

• Conduct customer discovery and collaborate to create, blueprint, and monetize value propositions.

• Lead cross-functional virtual teams while managing goals and expectations.

• Ensure visibility for internal stakeholders regarding efforts and action items.

• Finalize value propositions, specialized terms, and master supply agreements.

• Target TCCM opportunities and measure delivered value.

• Execute value delivery, fulfill customer commitments and orders, and uphold quality metrics.

• Increase customer share of wallet and act as a trusted advisor.

• Coordinate customer presentations, agreements, and extended services with SCS Administrators.

• Support supplier feedback and ensure alignment with Marketing Managers.

• Engage in conferences and educational opportunities.

• Travel frequently to fulfill job responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a four-year engineering degree or equivalent substantial technical work experience is preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience in outside sales and/or business development, along with experience in inside sales or a technical sales role.

• Experience in initiating and negotiating agreements is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.

• Preferably possess a strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint), internet, email, and SAP software.

• Demonstrate strong leadership skills.

• Exhibit excellent customer service abilities.

• Possess exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as strong reading and customer service skills.

• Capability to articulate Border States' value to both existing and prospective customers.

• Ability to effectively plan and organize tasks.

• Skill in understanding customer negotiation points and the influence of competition.

• Ability to perform well under pressure.

• Exercise sound judgment and effective communication skills.

• Creativity in developing innovative solutions.

• Curiosity to thoroughly understand the customers' business landscape.

• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Successful completion of required pre-employment criminal background check; MVR check and drug testing as applicable.
