
Strategic Account Manager – Power Generation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement strategic growth initiatives for essential power generation accounts.
• Build and sustain relationships at the executive level with utility, municipal, cooperative, and independent power producer clients.
• Recognize, assess, and secure opportunities in engineering, maintenance, reliability, asset integrity, and capital projects.
• Guide the development of opportunities from the initial client interaction through to project award.
• Collaborate with Orbital's operations and technical leaders to devise capture strategies and winning plans.
• Keep a strong opportunity pipeline and assist in forecasting activities.
• Represent Orbital at industry conferences, user groups, technical forums, and trade associations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to plant managers, fleet managers, engineering managers, and generation executives.
• Comprehend client challenges regarding operations, maintenance, reliability, compliance, and capital investments.
• Facilitate technical discussions to pinpoint opportunities for performance enhancements and risk mitigation.
• Convert client requirements into engineering and technical service solutions.
• Aid in developing long-term asset management and capital planning initiatives.
• Broaden Orbital's footprint in combined-cycle facilities, simple-cycle peaking facilities, gas turbine fleets, fossil generation stations, industrial cogeneration facilities, municipal generation systems, and renewable generation support infrastructure.
• Track market trends and emerging technologies that affect generation asset owners.
• Discover new service offerings and strategic growth avenues.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 10 years of experience in power generation, energy services, OEM support, or engineering consulting.
• Proven experience working with power plant owners and operators directly.
• Strong knowledge of generation asset lifecycle management and maintenance methodologies.
• Capability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Must successfully pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in accordance with Federal regulations.
