This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Take ownership of strategic global or regional accounts and OEM partners throughout all stages of the sales process.
• Promote the complete LGC Standards portfolio.
• Cultivate and maintain strategic account relationships with leadership, laboratory stakeholders, procurement, and other key influencers.
• Provide product knowledge, consultations, and solutions both at headquarters and at site locations.
• Work collaboratively with account managers assigned to strategic accounts within the territory.
• Direct coordination efforts among account managers, end-market sales managers, quoting specialists, and customer service teams.
• Advocate for LGC Standards products and brands through marketing initiatives and distributor channels.
• Achieve and surpass projected sales targets.
• Generate sales proposals for bids.
• Mentor and coach members of the sales organization.
• Acquire a thorough understanding of LGC products and their applications.
• Utilize LGC sales tools to manage prospects, accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and maintain accurate forecasts.
• Organize and participate in exhibitions, seminars, and other events to enhance brand visibility.
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or a related field; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated experience in selling technical products utilized in research laboratories.
• Previous successful key account management experience with central procurement is preferred.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting RFQs, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and Desk.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is an advantage.
• Exceptional commercial awareness and planning skills.
• Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Spanish or French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% within the assigned territory.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders and function as a strategic advisor.
• Capable of leading complex, high-stakes negotiations and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
• Proficient in coordinating manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and product teams.
• Skilled in anticipating and managing demand variability, capacity constraints, and operational risks.
