This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Take ownership of strategic global or regional accounts and OEM partnerships through all stages of the sales process.
• Market the complete LGC Standards portfolio.
• Cultivate and maintain strategic account relationships with key decision-makers.
• Offer product knowledge, consultation, and problem-solving assistance at headquarters and various site locations.
• Collaborate with account managers for the assigned strategic accounts.
• Facilitate coordination among account managers, end-market sales managers, quoting specialists, and customer service teams.
• Advocate for LGC Standards products and brands through marketing initiatives and distribution channels.
• Achieve and surpass projected sales targets.
• Create sales proposals for competitive bids.
• Mentor and coach members of the sales organization.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of LGC products and their applications.
• Utilize LGC sales tools to oversee prospects, accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and forecasts.
• Organize and participate in exhibitions, seminars, and other events to enhance brand visibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or a related field; a combination of education and experience will be taken into account.
• Demonstrated experience in selling technical products utilized in research laboratories.
• Previous successful experience in key account management with central procurement is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret RFQs, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management platforms such as Salesforce and Desk.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is advantageous.
• Exceptional commercial insight and planning skills.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets consistently.
• Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of Spanish and French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% within the assigned territory.
• Ability to establish trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders and act as a strategic advisor.
• Capability to lead complex negotiations and influence outcomes without direct authority.
• Ability to coordinate manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and product teams effectively.
• Skill in anticipating and managing demand variability, capacity limitations, and operational risks.
