This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Take ownership of strategic global or regional accounts and OEM partners throughout all stages of the sales process.
• Market the complete portfolio of LGC Standards products.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with leadership, laboratory stakeholders, procurement, and other key influencers in strategic accounts.
• Deliver product knowledge, consultation, and problem-solving support at both headquarters and site locations.
• Collaborate effectively with account managers assigned to strategic accounts.
• Oversee coordination among account managers, end-market sales managers, quoting specialists, and customer service teams.
• Advocate for LGC Standards products and brands through marketing initiatives and distribution channels.
• Achieve and surpass projected sales targets.
• Create sales proposals for bidding opportunities.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to members of the sales organization.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of LGC products and their applications.
• Utilize LGC sales tools to track prospects, accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and forecasts.
• Plan and participate in exhibitions, seminars, and other events to boost brand visibility.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and product teams to implement scalable, compliant private-label programs.
• Manage demand fluctuations, capacity limitations, and operational risks to ensure supply reliability.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or a related field; a combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• Demonstrated experience in selling technical products utilized in research laboratories.
• Previous successful experience in key account management with engagement in central procurement is preferred.
• Capability to read and comprehend RFQs, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce and Desk.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
• Exceptional commercial awareness and planning skills.
• Documented success in meeting and exceeding sales goals.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Spanish and French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% within the assigned territory as necessary.
• Ability to lead intricate, high-stakes negotiations and influence outcomes without direct authority.
• Skill in coordinating manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and product teams.
• Ability to foresee and manage demand variability, capacity restrictions, and operational risk.
