This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Take ownership of strategic global or regional accounts and OEM partners throughout all stages of the sales process.
• Promote the complete LGC Standards portfolio.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with strategic account leadership, laboratory stakeholders, procurement personnel, and other key influencers.
• Foster retention and growth by enhancing product knowledge, providing consultation, and solving problems.
• Work in conjunction with account managers at designated strategic accounts within the territory.
• Coordinate LGC Standards resources to guarantee positive customer experiences and effective account planning.
• Advocate for LGC Standards products and brands via marketing initiatives and distributor channels.
• Achieve and surpass projected sales targets.
• Prepare sales proposals for bidding processes.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to members of the sales organization.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of LGC products and their applications.
• Utilize sales tools to manage prospects, accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and forecasts.
• Organize and participate in exhibitions, seminars, and other events to boost brand visibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or a related field; a combination of education and experience will be taken into account.
• Demonstrated experience in selling technical products utilized in research laboratories.
• Previous success in key account management, particularly with central procurement, is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand RFQs, contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management platforms such as Salesforce and Desk.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications is an asset.
• Exceptional commercial awareness and planning skills.
• Proven history of achieving and exceeding sales goals.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Spanish and French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% within the assigned territory.
• Capability to establish trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders and act as a strategic advisor.
• Ability to lead complex, high-stakes negotiations and influence outcomes without direct authority.
• Skill in coordinating manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and product teams.
• Competence in managing demand variability, capacity limitations, and operational risks.
