This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop and implement a targeted strategy for acquiring and expanding refinery and petrochemical accounts within the designated market.
• Leverage established relationships and market insights to create immediate opportunities and sustainable, profitable business.
• Foster connections across maintenance, reliability, engineering, operations, procurement, and plant leadership teams.
• Dedicate significant time at customer facilities to gain a thorough understanding of critical equipment, planned outages, recurring failures, maintenance practices, and reliability goals.
• Identify opportunities related to electric motors, variable frequency drives, gearboxes, critical spares, equipment standardization, emergency needs, and other industrial solutions.
• Manage vendor approvals, replace incumbent suppliers, prepare solution-oriented proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize profitable agreements.
• Oversee ESR's inside sales team, technical resources, manufacturer partners, and leadership, while ensuring personal accountability for the customer experience.
• Keep an accurate CRM pipeline and deliver reliable activity reports, forecasts, and follow-ups.
• A minimum of five years of successful experience in industrial outside sales, particularly in selling electric motors, variable frequency drives, or similar rotating equipment to refineries and petrochemical facilities.
• Established, trusted relationships with decision-makers at various Greater Houston and Houston Ship Channel facilities.
• Proven track record of opening, building, and managing a multi-million-dollar portfolio of profitable industrial business, including experience in displacing incumbent suppliers.
• Capacity to quickly generate business and achieve a multi-million-dollar annual sales run rate for ESR within 18 months.
• A strong sense of urgency, personal accountability, responsiveness, and follow-through.
• Proficient communication, negotiation, CRM, and forecasting abilities.
• Residency in Greater Houston.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned market.
• Capability to pursue business for ESR without breaching existing contractual or confidentiality agreements.
• Experience with severe-duty, hazardous-location, large-horsepower, or medium-voltage motors and drives is preferred.
• Familiarity with plant vendor approvals, planned outages, emergency replacements, critical-spares programs, equipment standardization, and reliability-driven sales is preferred.
• Strong connections with relevant electric motor and drive manufacturers are preferred.
• Final candidates should be prepared to discuss their previous sales and gross profit achievements, personally originated business, and a high-level 18-month market development strategy.
