This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Create and implement strategic sales initiatives for designated territories or portfolios, responsible for pipeline management, bookings, revenue growth, and sales objectives.
• Identify, target, qualify, and cultivate business opportunities with government agencies, municipalities, public sector organizations, and key clients.
• Establish and nurture client relationships as a trusted advisor and primary commercial contact.
• Facilitate consultative sales discussions and present customized solutions.
• Oversee the complete sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, contracting, and finalization.
• Formulate account strategies, opportunity plans, presentations, proposals, and business cases.
• Conduct presentations, demonstrations, meetings, and negotiations at the executive level.
• Keep accurate sales pipelines and offer forecasts, opportunity updates, competitive insights, and risk assessments.
• Work collaboratively with Client Success, Operations, Product, Finance, Legal, Marketing, IT, and other departments.
• Manage RFP, RFI, solicitation, and formal procurement responses.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and agreements.
• Develop territory and account plans that pinpoint target organizations, stakeholders, buying processes, competition, and growth opportunities.
• Stay informed about products, services, market positioning, industry trends, competitors, and client use cases.
• Track market and competitive activities and relay trends, feedback, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Client Success to ensure smooth transitions of closed sales to implementation and ongoing relationship management.
• Maintain customer, opportunity, activity, and forecasting data in CRM and necessary systems.
• Represent Verra Mobility at client meetings, industry events, conferences, and business development activities, traveling as necessary.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred, or a suitable combination of education, training, and experience is required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in B2B sales, enterprise sales, account management, business development, or a similar client-facing commercial position.
• Proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales targets and generating new business in complex sales environments.
• Experience in selling to government agencies, municipalities, public sector clients, or regulated industries is highly preferred.
• Experience in managing intricate, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, procurement processes, contracts, and executive decision-makers.
• Demonstrated capability to prospect, build relationships, qualify opportunities, develop a pipeline, and convert opportunities into revenue.
• Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills.
• Ability to cultivate trusted relationships with executive leaders and decision-makers and convey business value at various organizational levels.
• Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
• Strong technical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with CRM platforms is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary for client meetings, onsite presentations, implementations, industry conferences, and business development activities.
