This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Lead, mentor, and enhance the capabilities of teams comprising Account Executives and Strategic Account Executives.
• Establish direction, priorities, operational expectations, role definitions, accountability, and standards for execution.
• Cultivate a high-performance culture through constructive feedback, talent growth, and succession planning.
• Provide executive oversight and accountability for large, intricate PBM clients.
• Act as an escalation point for complicated client situations and senior-level interactions.
• Take ownership of overall revenue growth, retention, and profitability within the designated portfolio.
• Steer renewal and expansion strategies while pinpointing opportunities for solution growth.
• Deliver visibility into financial performance, drug trends, pricing strategies, guarantees, and account economics at the portfolio level.
• Collaborate with finance, underwriting, and senior leadership on renewal scenarios, margin and value opportunities, and executive client dialogues.
• Lead cross-functional teams across account management, clinical, product, operations, underwriting, analytics, and implementation.
• Align resources, eliminate obstacles, and promote complex client and business objectives.
• Provide leadership oversight for intricate RFPs and renewals.
• Keep abreast of pharmacy benefit management, managed care, healthcare market, legislative, and regulatory trends.
• Over 10 years of experience in healthcare, account management, or similar client-facing roles.
• Previous experience in people leadership, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
• Proven success in managing large, complex employer or health plan accounts through teams.
• Demonstrated executive presence and strategic insight, including senior-level client interactions and the ability to explain complex financial and PBM concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Capacity to navigate high-stakes or escalated situations with assurance and credibility.
• Strong proficiency in digital tools and AI.
• Inclusive leadership that aligns with the transformation agenda.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured personal vehicle.
• Preferred experience in leading teams managing large employer or health plan accounts.
• Preferred experience in a pharmacy benefit manager sales or service executive capacity.
• Preferred accountability for revenue, retention, and profitability within a PBM portfolio.
• Preferred experience in regulated or policy-influenced healthcare settings.
• Preferred comfort with data and analytics, including AI-enabled insights, to assess renewal risks, evaluate account economics, inform pricing and guarantee strategies, and enhance portfolio performance.
• Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree, or equivalent experience required.
