This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate teams comprising Account Executives and Strategic Account Executives.
• Establish direction, set priorities, clarify roles, ensure accountability, and define operational expectations.
• Promote high performance through constructive feedback, talent development initiatives, and succession planning.
• Provide executive oversight and accountability for large, intricate PBM clients.
• Act as the escalation point for complicated client situations and senior-level engagements.
• Oversee overall revenue growth, client retention, and profitability within the designated portfolio.
• Direct renewal and expansion strategies while identifying opportunities for solution enhancement.
• Offer portfolio-level insights into drug trends, pricing strategies, guarantees, and account economics.
• Collaborate with finance, underwriting, and senior leadership on renewal scenarios, margin considerations, value opportunities, and executive client interactions.
• Lead and influence cross-functional partners across account management, clinical, product development, operations, underwriting, analytics, and implementation.
• Align enterprise resources, eliminate obstacles, and further complex client and business goals.
• Supervise intricate RFPs and renewal processes.
• Keep abreast of pharmacy benefit management, managed care, healthcare market dynamics, legislative, and regulatory developments.
• Over 10 years of experience in healthcare, account management, or similar client-facing roles.
• Previous experience in people leadership, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
• Proven track record managing large, complex employer or health plan accounts through teams.
• Demonstrated executive presence and strategic insight, including engagement in senior-level client discussions and the ability to explain complex financial and PBM concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Capability to handle high-stakes or escalated situations with confidence and credibility.
• Strong proficiency in digital tools and AI technologies.
• Commitment to inclusive leadership that aligns with the transformation agenda.
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured personal vehicle.
• Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree, or equivalent professional experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%, including overnight and short-notice trips.
