This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate and implement sales strategies at the state level aimed at boosting premium growth and increasing market share.
• Guide, train, mentor, and enhance the capabilities of Territory Sales Managers across California.
• Cultivate and deepen relationships with independent agents, brokers, and significant industry stakeholders.
• Oversee strategic agency accounts while assisting in agency development initiatives.
• Evaluate production trends, market dynamics, and competitive activities to uncover growth prospects.
• Collaborate with teams in Underwriting, Claims, Product, and Executive Leadership.
• Supply market insights and strategic advice regarding industry trends and competitor actions.
• Foster accountability for achieving production targets and overall business outcomes.
• Travel across California to bolster agency relationships and support business development efforts.
• Spearhead California's sales growth strategy while maintaining underwriting profitability and agency engagement.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in insurance sales.
• At least 5 years in a sales management role.
• In-depth knowledge of the specialty auto insurance sector in California.
• Established connections with independent agency owners, brokers, and industry organizations.
• Proven track record of successfully growing profitable business through agency distribution channels.
• Outstanding leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills and business planning expertise.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Capacity to interpret business results and devise actionable growth strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/sales technology tools.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred; relevant industry experience will be taken into account.
• Willingness to travel throughout California, including occasional overnight trips.
• Capability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended durations.
• Effectively communicate in person, virtually, and via telephone.
• Ability to travel by car and/or air within California.
• Capability to occasionally lift or carry materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
