State Policy Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Perform legislative and other research to aid in policy drafting.

• Create one-pagers, op-eds, blog entries, and supplementary materials for model policies.

• Analyze legislation and assist the State Policy team.

• Collaborate with litigation, strategic research, coalitions, and communications efforts.

• Assist in drafting legislation and model bills.

• Intern remotely by default, with the option to request on-site work at PLF offices.

• College junior, senior, graduate student, or recent graduate.

• Inquisitive, creative, and self-driven.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Interest in law and public policy.

• Knowledge of and a principled enthusiasm for individual liberty.

• Proficient writing and research capabilities.

• Must be located within the United States.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States for the entire duration of the program.
