State Filings Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold standardized processes for state filings, including documentation and ongoing process enhancement initiatives.

• Prepare and file insurance submissions, encompassing rates, rules, forms, endorsements, and accompanying documentation.

• Oversee filings via SERFF, FilingRamp, and other state-specific regulatory platforms.

• Aid in establishing company form numbering standards and conventions.

• Ensure accurate, version-controlled form libraries that align with approved filing records.

• Analyze state regulations, bulletins, and filing guidelines to ascertain requirements and exemptions.

• Collaborate with specialists in state filings, actuarial, underwriting, legal, compliance, and product teams.

• Monitor filing statuses, objections, approvals, and effective dates.

• Compose and submit replies to regulatory objections and inquiries.

• Keep organized and audit-ready records of filings, form inventories, and correspondence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• 3–5+ years of experience in insurance regulatory filings, compliance, or related insurance operations.

• Familiarity with U.S. insurance regulations and multi-state filing requirements.

• Proficient in using SERFF and iFile platforms.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Ability to function independently as well as part of a team.

• Experience with SharePoint or tracking tools is advantageous.
