This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver revenue cycle evaluations, identify systemic issues, and propose system/process solutions for customers.

• Analyze the integrity of the revenue cycle and workflow processes to enhance efficiency and meet revenue goals.

• Investigate systemic billing and reimbursement challenges and devise solutions for resolution.

• Generate non-standard reports and evaluate billing data and trends.

• Support the processing and troubleshooting of medical claims.

• Collaborate with hospital or medical records personnel to ensure accurate reporting of diagnoses and procedures.

• Engage in customer revenue cycle evaluations and develop improvement strategies.

• Investigate root causes that hinder timely billing and reimbursement.

• Present analytical results and aid in the implementation of revenue cycle enhancements.

• Create training materials and deliver MEDITECH Accounts Receivable and third-party clearinghouse training.

• Stay informed about billing and benefit updates from third-party insurance providers.

• Compile weekly or as-needed customer status reports encompassing productivity, ROI, revenue, and usage.

• Serve as the lead and subject matter expert in claims processing, collections, Medicare, Medicaid, MEDITECH, and third-party claims submission vendors.

• Consult with senior team members as necessary.

• Contribute to team goals and outcomes.

• Undertake special projects and other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, or related fields; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in revenue cycle analysis or a related field.

• Proven experience in mentoring less experienced team members.

• Strong understanding of third-party billing regulations and HIPAA 837/835 electronic standards.

• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, billing guidelines, HIPAA, and compliance requirements.

• W2 project-based consultants are required to provide a computing device that meets industry standards and security best practices.
