Staff Windows Low Level C++ Engineer – Endpoint Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create and implement sophisticated security functionalities for SentinelOne’s Windows endpoint protection system.

• Operate within both user-mode and kernel-mode environments.

• Construct and enhance anti-tampering measures, network sensors, agent frameworks, and other kernel-level capabilities.

• Primarily design and develop using modern C++23.

• Test and troubleshoot intricate real-world issues in Windows.

• Investigate Windows internals and resolve deep system complexities.

• Design and implement substantial new features while rewriting or reworking existing ones.

• Tackle performance and optimization hurdles at a significant scale.

• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams throughout the development process.

• Share expertise across Platform teams and the wider Windows community.

• Develop security features safeguarding millions of Windows devices globally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience as a software engineer in low-level programming using modern C++ or C, with a willingness to learn modern C++.

• Practical experience and thorough understanding of Windows OS architecture and internals.

• Background in Windows low-level development.

• Familiarity with standard debugging and profiling tools for Windows applications.

• Previous involvement in a production-grade product with extensive deployment.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with colleagues from various time zones.

• Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking.

• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high coding standards.

• Candidates applying for the Poland position must be eligible to work in the EU at the time of application.

• Experience with Windows Kernel and Windows Drivers development, security-focused development, reverse engineering, or malware analysis is a plus.
