Senior Backend Engineer, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Engage with customers through calls and site visits to gain insights into their workflows and challenges.

• Define product scope, plans, and priorities in alignment with customer requirements.

• Develop and construct backend services using Go and Python.

• Convert tenders, catalogs, and purchase orders into dependable customer data.

• Rapidly deploy features, monitor customer engagement, and iterate based on feedback.

• Manage production issues and resolve problems that impact customers.

• Leverage AI extensively in the development process and design systems that are usable by both AI agents and humans.

• Take ownership of product areas and determine their future trajectory.

• Identify and implement solutions for previously unaddressed customer issues.

• Streamline components of the platform over time.

• Collaborate closely with company leadership and the Customer Success team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants must reside in the EU or EEA; submissions from other regions will not be considered.

• Proven experience in taking initiatives from concept to execution, such as launching a company, product line, or side project with paying customers.

• Background in building and managing production backend systems relied upon by others.

• Proficient in Go or Python, with a willingness to work in both languages.

• Strong skills in data modeling, API design, and handling complex real-world data.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to rapidly evolving requirements.

• Prepared to assume responsibilities that extend beyond the job title.

• Enjoys engaging directly with customers and participating in customer calls.

• Writes clearly and effectively in English.

• Proficiency in German is advantageous, but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with the full tech stack is not a prerequisite on the first day.
