PHP, Database Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance the Company’s websites, web applications, and internal systems.

• Write, test, debug, and uphold code in accordance with Company standards and development practices.

• Create and manage web-based CAD dialog boxes and associated functionalities.

• Develop and oversee internal administrative systems, Customer Portal, CRM, and data entry platforms.

• Diagnose programming errors, database challenges, and performance issues related to websites or applications.

• Evaluate existing code and carry out updates and enhancements.

• Enhance functionality, performance, security, and reliability.

• Collaborate with developers and various departments to comprehend requirements, resolve technical issues, and implement solutions.

• Oversee development tasks, adhere to deadlines, and report progress, delays, or concerns to the Director of Web Development, Project Manager, executives, and team members.

• Assess assigned development tasks and identify technical challenges or dependencies.

• Adhere to coding standards, security protocols, source control practices, and testing methodologies.

• Investigate new technologies and development tools, including AI-based solutions, and propose enhancements.

• Maintain technical documentation and record code changes and development activities.

• Support technical requirements related to trade shows, conferences, marketing efforts, and Company events, which may include occasional on-site work.

• Execute other programming, website development, and relevant duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in PHP programming, website development, or related web application development.

• Proficient in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PHP-based websites and database-driven applications.

• Experience with JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, MySQL, Linux environments, and Git.

• Strong expertise in PHP, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, MySQL, and Linux command line.

• In-depth knowledge of Git, source control, and established development practices.

• Comprehensive understanding of front-end and back-end web development, website architecture, and database-driven applications.

• Experience with web design, layouts, and content management systems such as WordPress or Joomla.

• Familiarity with suitable IDEs, development tools, and debugging techniques.

• Understanding of website security, testing procedures, and best development practices.

• Ability to write, review, troubleshoot, and maintain clean, efficient, and comprehensible code.

• Proficiency in utilizing AI-based development tools for coding, troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancing development efficiency while ensuring accuracy and code quality.

• Applicants must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Capability to work independently, collaborate effectively with others, manage multiple assignments, and meet set deadlines.

• Strong organizational, time-management, communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and adaptability skills.

• Relevant educational background, such as a degree, certificate, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
