D365 F&O Technical Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical architecture for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain ecosystem, concentrating on Procurement and Sales cycles.

• Establish and sustain the target architecture, extension strategy, and technical standards for Finance & Operations (F&O).

• Oversee customizations that are both upgrade-safe and maintainable.

• Direct the technical execution of implementations, rollouts, and migrations from solution design through to cutover and hypercare.

• Manage the transition from legacy systems to D365 F&O and oversee rollouts to new markets and legal entities.

• Develop and implement data migration strategies utilizing the Data Management Framework.

• Architect and manage integrations between D365 F&O and external or legacy systems.

• Oversee environment strategy, Azure services, Power Platform Admin Center, Lifecycle Services, and Azure DevOps CI/CD and ALM pipelines.

• Plan and lead One Version updates, quality updates, and platform upgrades.

• Enhance performance, security, and observability through tuning, monitoring, alerting, and security governance.

• Collaborate with Consultants, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to develop technical designs.

• Conduct design and code reviews.

• Construct and evaluate critical X++ components.

• Address complex technical challenges and produce technical documentation.

• Assess ISVs and platform capabilities while making build-versus-buy decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of technical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain (previously known as AX).

• Experience serving as a technical architect or technical lead on comprehensive implementations.

• Demonstrated success in leading large-scale D365 F&O implementations and migrations from start to finish.

• Practical experience with Procurement and Sales cycles.

• Extensive knowledge of D365 F&O architecture and the extensibility model, including Chain of Command, event handlers, and extensions versus overlayering.

• Strong expertise in X++, encompassing SysOperation, set-based operations, DMF, and the security framework.

• Experience in defining environment strategy and deployment topology across development, testing, UAT, and production environments.

• Understanding of performance diagnosis and optimization within F&O.

• Strong knowledge of Azure, including Azure Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps, Data Lake, and Azure AD.

• Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines and ALM practices in Azure DevOps.

• Familiarity with LCS and the Power Platform Admin Center.

• Experience in monitoring, telemetry, and alerting for production systems.

• Skilled in designing enterprise integrations using middleware platforms.

• Understanding of API design and consumption utilizing REST/SOAP and JSON/XML.

• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, Azure AD, and secure data exchange protocols.

• Experience with data migration strategies from legacy ERP systems to D365 F&O.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, PowerApps, and Power BI.

• Understanding of the Dynamics ecosystem ISVs and their assessment/integration.

• Technical leadership demonstrated through influence.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.

• Capability to work independently and take proactive initiatives.

• Strong skills in prioritization, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.

• Results-driven approach with an emphasis on reliable, well-documented delivery.

• Must reside in Portugal or Germany.
