This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of the research roadmap for the consumer innovation workstream.
• Collaborate with product, design, data science, and engineering leadership to pinpoint strategic research opportunities.
• Lead generative research focusing on food, nutrition, health, mental models, motivations, barriers, and behavioral triggers.
• Utilize behavioral science frameworks to address research questions and solve product/design challenges.
• Conduct and manage both qualitative and quantitative mixed-methods research.
• Convert research findings into actionable narratives that inform decisions from opportunity framing to product launch validation.
• Maintain consumer knowledge bases, personas, and journey maps.
• Mentor junior researchers while contributing to the research craft, culture, and standards.
• Champion customer advocacy and influence product roadmaps and strategic direction.
• Over 8 years of experience in UX or consumer research within a product organization.
• Significant experience in early-stage innovation or new product development.
• Strong background or deep understanding of behavioral psychology, behavioral economics, or related disciplines.
• Proficiency in qualitative methodologies, including in-depth interviews, ethnographic studies, diary studies, usability testing, participatory design, and workshop facilitation.
• Proficient in quantitative methods, covering survey design and analysis, behavioral data interpretation, experimental design, and mixed-methods synthesis.
• Demonstrated ability to lead foundational and generative research efforts.
• Outstanding storytelling skills.
• Experience collaborating with or alongside data science teams.
• Proven track record of influencing product roadmaps.
• Familiarity with using AI tools for research processes while adhering to methodological rigor.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• An advanced degree is preferred in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, or a related field.
• Work locations currently limited to Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
