Staff Technical Recruiter, Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive design and creative searches for roles ranging from senior individual contributors to Director-level leaders.

• Take charge of role definition, candidate engagement, quality assessments, funnel management, and overall search strategy.

• Collaborate with the Chief Product Officer, VPs of Product and Design, and other leadership teams on defining roles, establishing levels, designing searches, assessing talent, understanding market trends, and implementing inclusive hiring practices.

• Develop structured search plans and identify potential bottlenecks early in the process.

• Create and implement targeted sourcing strategies to attract design and creative talent.

• Utilize data to establish funnel expectations and enhance search methodologies.

• Elevate the quality and consistency of design hiring by clarifying competencies, portfolio requirements, and structured decision-making processes.

• Gather market intelligence regarding compensation, organizational structures, talent pools, and hiring practices of peer companies.

• Provide an exceptional candidate experience and executive-level support for senior leaders.

• Work collaboratively with sourcers and coordination partners to ensure seamless search processes.

• Contribute to the sustainable growth of Headway, benefiting providers and patients across the nation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in high-growth, tech-enabled settings.

• Significant experience in hiring senior, director, and VP-level design and creative talent.

• Extensive background in recruiting Product Design or Creative professionals.

• Proven experience managing senior and executive-level searches.

• Capability to advise executives using data-driven insights, market knowledge, and structured reasoning.

• Proficiency in untangling ambiguous or complex searches and developing repeatable hiring frameworks.

• Demonstrated agency and operational excellence.

• Innovative multi-channel sourcing, research, relationship-building, and market mapping skills.

• Ability to evaluate designers' scope, judgment, and impact effectively.

• Strong communication skills, presence, and professional demeanor.

• Dedication to inclusive and consistent hiring practices.

• Authorization to work in the United States with any employer.
