Senior Technical Sourcer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more locations.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the top-of-funnel strategy and execution for technical recruitment across engineering, infrastructure, data, AI/ML, and security sectors.

• Develop candidate pipelines, engage with potential candidates, and pass on qualified individuals to recruiters.

• Perform market mapping, organizational assessments, competitor analysis, and mining of conferences and publications, as well as conducting open-source and technical community research through advanced boolean and x-ray searches.

• Identify niche and emerging passive technical talent, specifically in AI/ML, applied research, distributed systems, and security engineering.

• Craft personalized outreach messages, test communication strategies, and manage candidate response rates.

• Execute multiple searches with disciplined follow-up processes, maintaining accurate ATS hygiene and ensuring clean data.

• Transform research into talent intelligence, market maps, talent density analyses, and insights on competitive hiring.

• Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers on role calibration, scope, leveling, and search strategies.

• Create diverse technical pipelines through extensive research and inclusive outreach practices.

• Monitor and report on funnel metrics such as response rates, screening pass rates, and stage conversion rates.

• Represent Plaid authentically, serving as a candidate's initial impression of the company.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in technical sourcing/recruiting, particularly in-house sourcing within a high-growth technology company.

• Mastery of boolean and x-ray search techniques, proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, technical communities, publications, conference sources, and CRM or ATS sourcing workflows.

• Proven success in managing multiple technical searches simultaneously within high-volume and high-urgency environments.

• Strong understanding of technical skill sets, including the ability to evaluate job specifications, GitHub profiles, and research papers.

• Demonstrated sourcing experience in at least one challenging domain such as AI/ML, data science, data infrastructure, distributed systems, or security engineering.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Data-driven mindset with the capability to utilize funnel metrics effectively.

• Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining data hygiene.

• A candidate-centric approach grounded in empathy, transparency, and consistent follow-up.
