Technical Sourcer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the top-of-funnel strategy and execution for technical hiring across Software Engineering and Data Science.

• Develop candidate pipelines, engage and qualify prospects, and deliver well-briefed, qualified candidates to recruiters.

• Perform market mapping, organizational analysis, open-source and technical community research, along with advanced boolean and x-ray searches.

• Create personalized outreach messages, test communications, and manage response rates effectively.

• Conduct multiple searches with disciplined follow-up practices, maintain accurate ATS hygiene, and ensure data integrity.

• Transform research into insights on talent density and competitive hiring strategies.

• Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers on calibration, defining role scopes, leveling, and developing search strategies.

• Monitor and report on response rates, screen pass rates, and stage conversion metrics.

• Serve as an authentic representative of Plaid during initial candidate interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in technical sourcing, including in-house sourcing within a rapidly growing technology company.

• Proficient in sourcing research techniques and tools, such as boolean and x-ray search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, technical communities, publications, conference sources, and CRM or ATS sourcing workflows.

• Proven track record of success in high-volume, high-urgency settings while managing multiple technical searches.

• Deep understanding of technical skill sets and the ability to evaluate job specifications, GitHub profiles, and research papers for relevance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong data discipline with the ability to utilize and articulate funnel metrics.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accountability for data quality.

• A candidate-first mindset grounded in empathy, transparency, and consistent follow-through.

• Experience in fintech, financial services, or other regulated industries is a plus.

• Familiarity with producing talent intelligence or market mapping work is advantageous.

• Experience in creating sourcing playbooks or assessing and implementing sourcing tools is beneficial.

• Background in sourcing for distributed teams is desirable.

• Knowledge of inclusive sourcing practices is a plus.
