Staff Technical Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the mobile platform roadmap, determining where Unity should invest to enable developers to launch high-quality, high-performance games across various mobile devices.

• Collaborate closely with clients and platform product managers to identify new user requirements, outline feature specifications, and validate features under development.

• Negotiate and establish alignment with platform partners to ensure Unity remains at the forefront of platform transitions and emerging device categories.

• Convert complex technical roadmaps into strategic narratives suitable for executive and external stakeholders.

• Act as a bridge among Unity's platform teams to ensure cross-team issues are recognized, aligned, and effectively planned.

• Collect detailed data and feedback to inform the development of roadmaps.

• Offer insights into customer usage, demand for released features, ongoing feature development, and prospective growth areas.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in technical product management with a focus on delivering intricate developer tools or operating system-level products, or a solid engineering or game development background combined with the above.

• Extensive fluency in mobile platforms, encompassing knowledge of software development lifecycles, APIs, and hardware abstraction.

• A proven ability to influence senior leadership, manage large organizational interdependencies, and maintain complex stakeholder relationships.

• Strong technical communication skills with the capability to translate customer feedback and requests into underlying needs and broader objectives.

• Proficient in articulating complex concepts succinctly for non-technical team members.

• Excellent analytical skills and experience utilizing data analysis tools.

• Displayed user empathy and a commitment to data-informed decision-making.

• Adequate proficiency in English for professional verbal and written communication.

• Optional: hands-on experience in shipping a game or interactive application utilizing Unity or other real-time 3D development tools.

• Optional: familiarity with performance profiling and optimization on mobile devices.
