Staff Technical Product Manager – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead product initiatives through phases of discovery, requirements definition, launch, adoption, and ongoing improvement.

• Convert ambiguous business challenges into actionable product roadmaps, requirements, and prioritized backlogs that align with Sunrun's objectives.

• Work collaboratively with engineering teams on system design, architectural decisions, and intricate implementation choices.

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize post-launch data to assess product impact and inform future investments.

• Articulate vision, priorities, and the rationale for investments to both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Provide constructive feedback, foster consensus, and drive disciplined execution.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to create impactful AI capabilities.

• Develop solutions across both B2B and B2C use cases alongside a Product Manager and a team of over 30 engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in product management and technical roles responsible for complex, scalable products.

• Profound understanding of software systems.

• Proven experience in taking products from conception (0-to-1) and scaling existing platforms.

• Ability to distill broad, unstructured challenges into precise product direction and measurable results.

• Experience in defining success metrics and delivering tangible business or customer value.

• Strong strategic judgment with the ability to constructively challenge assumptions and align cross-functional teams.

• Preferred: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Preferred: Previous software engineering experience.

• Preferred: Background in enterprise technology, B2B platforms, cloud infrastructure, AdTech, or e-commerce.

• Preferred: Familiarity with B2B and B2C products across web and mobile applications.

• Preferred: Experience working on AI products or collaborating with AI engineering teams, or a strong technical curiosity and eagerness to learn.
