This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and lead the product strategy and roadmap for Vultr’s networking portfolio, which includes VPC, routing, NAT/IGW, firewall/security groups, private connectivity, transit, DDoS, peering, and GPU/cluster networking.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to align customer demands and product priorities with technical architecture, engineering capacity, scalability, and long-term platform objectives.
• Convert intricate infrastructure capabilities and architectural choices into concise product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and execution plans.
• Establish requirements for new networking functionalities, encompassing VPC features, routing and gateway operations, cross-region connectivity, and RDMA/RoCE fabric services.
• Spearhead complex cross-functional initiatives that involve multiple engineering and business teams, fostering alignment, prioritization, and decision-making.
• Discover opportunities to set Vultr’s networking platform apart in cloud, enterprise, and AI/GPU infrastructure applications.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape in cloud networking and leverage market insights to guide roadmap and investment priorities.
• Ensure go-to-market preparedness in collaboration with marketing, documentation, support, and sales teams.
• Articulate product strategy, roadmap, technical tradeoffs, and priorities to technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Extensive product management experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, distributed systems, or other similarly intricate technical products.
• Experience functioning as a senior or Principal-level individual contributor with influence across various engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of data center and cloud networking principles, including EVPN-VXLAN, VRFs, routing, NAT, load balancing, firewalling, private connectivity, and network security.
• Familiarity with cloud networking technologies such as VPCs, transit networking, peering, gateways, DDoS mitigation, multi-region networking, or software-defined networking.
• Experience with high-performance networking, GPU/AI infrastructure, RDMA, RoCE, or cluster networking is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to transform complex technical challenges into clear product strategies, roadmaps, and requirements.
• Strong product judgment with a background in prioritizing customer needs, technical investments, and long-term strategies.
• Proven capability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders without direct authority.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and establishing structure where established processes are lacking.
