Staff Software Engineer, Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute both automated and manual testing protocols for software applications.

• Partner with software developers and stakeholders to establish and prioritize testing initiatives.

• Draft clear and succinct test plans and test cases.

• Conduct both automated and manual testing, documenting and reporting test outcomes.

• Identify, replicate, and document software defects, collaborating with software engineers for resolution.

• Stay updated on new testing technologies and methodologies.

• Engage in code reviews, offering insights on testability and quality standards.

• Ensure software products align with customer expectations and are delivered timely.

• Guide and mentor junior test engineers on best practices.

• Develop comprehensive testing and release strategies.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance development processes, including code generation, testing, and documentation.

• Adhere to departmental knowledge compliance requirements.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

• At least 8+ years of experience in a similar role.

• Advanced knowledge of AI-driven development tools, such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code.

• Expertise in two programming languages and advanced proficiency in one, including JavaScript, Java, or C#.

• In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies and techniques.

• Extensive experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in drafting clear and concise test plans and test cases.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• High integrity and dependability, with a strong focus on urgency and results.

• Advanced capability to work efficiently in a team setting.

• Ability to fulfill specified physical demands, with reasonable accommodations available.

• Capable of handling sensitive information securely, including PHI/PI, human resources data, financial administrative accounts, and access to corporate applications.

• Must adhere to departmental knowledge compliance standards.
