Staff Software Engineer – Agentic Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and develop the agentic product suite from initial prototype to final production.

• Construct the foundational AI platform, which encompasses evaluation, guardrails, context management, and agent harnesses.

• Establish standards for the design, testing, and deployment of AI features.

• Assist the team in the adoption of AI development standards.

• Upgrade the existing PHP and Angular application layer.

• Assess new models and tools, implementing enhanced solutions.

• Lead the design and execution of the agentic product suite and AI platform.

• Write code on a daily basis, mainly through agents that the engineer supervises.

• Engage in hiring manager screenings, code reviews, and systems design interviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive senior or staff-level experience in software engineering.

• Capability to manage problems from start to finish and take responsibility for production outcomes.

• Proficiency in understanding the entire system, including code that may be unfamiliar.

• Experience in forward-thinking, agent-centric engineering using tools such as Claude Code.

• Experience in transferring complete features to agents, running multiple agents concurrently, and developing harnesses around them.

• Skill in evaluating AI tools and recognizing their limitations.

• Ability to reason about distributed systems.

• Competence in tracing requests through a distributed system.

• Capacity to justify design trade-offs.

• Practical coding experience.

• Relevant experience with modernizing legacy PHP and Angular applications.

• Must reside in the US.
